Beta Xi Chapter Chartering and Activation

Sigma Alpha Sorority is announcing the chapter chartering and activation of the Beta Xi Chapter at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois with 14 charter members on February 11, 2012 at 4:30pm. The Illinois State University SID chapter has done an outstanding job completing the requirements, and the members will make excellent sisters!

Collegiate and alumni members are invited to attend the ceremonies as we welcome them into Sigma Alpha. If interested, please contact Kathleen Elstrott at kathleene@sigmaalpha.org for more information. However, if you cannot be there, please consider sending a card or letter to the new chapter welcoming and congratulating them (mailed to arrive shortly after or on their Activation dates). Apply for the Ag Day Collegiate Leadership Summit

Please consider applying to attend the Ag Day Collegiate Leadership Summit that is coordinated by the Consortium of Colleigate Agricultural Organization. Sigma Alpha Sorority is seeking one to two highly qualified collegiate members to represent Sigma Alpha Sorority at this event in Washington D.C. on March 6-8, 2012. Sigma Alpha Sorority will provide $500 scholarship if one candidate is selected and $250 scholarship if two candidates are selected to help cover the costs of attending. Please submit an Ag Day Collegiate Leadership Summit Application by 5pm CST on January 18, 2012 tocollegiateliaison@sigmaalpha.org. Applications are posted at http://www.sigmaalpha.org/news.

If your chapter has had any successes or innovative ideas that you would like to share with sisters and alumni across the nation, please feel free to write an article and submit a picture from the event.
