National Sorority Board

The purpose of the National Sorority Board is to:

  • Oversee the Sorority’s national operations and management in accordance with the National Bylaws, policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance to collegiate and alumnae chapters.
  • Facilitate bonds of sisterhood between members.
  • Serve as representatives of Sigma Alpha at sorority, industry and affiliated association events.

Kelly Lawler

Kelly is a professional campaign treasurer for candidates and committees. Kelly has owned and operated The KAL Group since May of 2004. She earned her bachelor’s degree in agriculture business in 2001 from CSU, Chico where she was a Founding Sister of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Sigma Alpha. Kelly helped found Walden Academy, Glenn Counties first independent charter school and served on the board for 5 years. Kelly served as the National Sigma Alpha Treasurer for two years. She lives in central California with her husband and three children.

Kim Stassen

Kim graduated in 2009 from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness. She was very active in the Upsilon Chapter, serving as the president and the ag career fair chair her senior year. Kim served as a Chapter Consultant from 2011-2014, supporting chapters on the East Coast and in the Midwest. She has also stayed very active with her alumnae chapter since graduation. Kim is currently working at ProPartners Financial in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, as a credit analyst.

Christine Phipps

Christine graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2011 with a double major in business administration and animal science. She was president of the Beta Kappa Chapter. Following graduation she moved around to continue her riding career and compete her beloved Connemara Thoroughbred mare “Zoe”.  In the fall of 2013 she moved to Southern Pines, NC and has lived there ever since. She currently works at the Carolina Horse Park Foundation as the development manager cultivating relationships with corporate and private sponsors and grantors.

Kate Hadley

Kate graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She was an active member of the Gamma Chapter where she served on the executive board for two years. After obtaining her master’s degree in 2014 in crop and soil science, Kate loaded up her truck and drove half way across North America to pursue a career as an agronomist in Western Canada. Kate currently works in the golden (canola) fields as a Dekalb agronomist for Monsanto in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In her free time, she enjoys playing hockey, curling, shooting sporting clays, and duck hunting with her black lab, Beau.

Megan Lutrick

Megan graduated from Tarleton State University in May of 2013 with a bachelor’s of science degree in animal science and biology. She served numerous roles during her collegiate career, including president of the Alpha Zeta Chapter. Megan currently works at Stephenville Medical and Surgical Clinic as the team lead in health information management. She is an active member in her community as well as an active alumna with Tarleton State and Sigma Alpha. Megan and her husband, Josh currently reside in Stephenville, Texas.

Jessica Graham

Jessica graduated in 2006 from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture science. Jessica served as the social chair for the Alpha Pi Chapter. She and her husband, Larry, have a daughter, Delanie. She is currently an agriculture science teacher and primarily teaches veterinary science. She recently received her master’s degree in education with an emphasis in instructional leadership and curriculum/instruction.

Brianna Shanholtzer

Brianna graduated from West Virginia University in May of 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and extension education. She served as the 1st vice president of the Chi Chapter. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in agricultural education and communication at the University of Florida. In her spare time, Brianna enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.

Molly graduated in 2014 from North Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in equine science. She was very active in the Upsilon Chapter, serving many roles, and currently serves as the Upsilon Alumnae Chapter president. Molly served as a Chapter Consultant from 2014-2016, supporting chapters in the Upper Midwest. Molly is currently working for Purina Animal Nutrition, LLC in Mason City, IA as a production supervisor. In her spare time, Molly enjoys traveling and rooting for the NDSU Bison football team.

Megan graduated from California State University, Fresno in May of 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications and a certificate in special event planning. She served a term as treasurer and two terms as president of the Alpha Phi Chapter. After graduation, she moved across the country and now resides in Delaware. She currently works for Garden Media Group, a PR firm specializing in the lawn and garden industry. In her spare time, she loves to travel, and explore her new state.

Meet the Chapter Consultants

The Sigma Alpha Chapter Consultant program exists to:

    • Offer consistent and timely delivery of Sorority services, resources and communications.
    • Provide a consistent and timely review and evaluation of chapter activities for compliance with the Sorority’s mission, objective and policies.
    • Support, mentor and guide collegiate chapter officers in the performance of their duties.

Sarah graduated in 2018 from Cornell University with bachelor’s degrees in plant sciences and agricultural sciences. She served as 1st vice president and 2nd vice president for the Alpha Psi Chapter. She is pursing a master’s degree in soil science at Texas A&M University. She loves to be with friends, reading and growing plants.

Celine graduated from Kansas State University in 2017 with bachelor’s degrees in agricultural communications and journalism, and agricultural economics. She served on the Alpha Omega Chapter board as president and 2nd vice president.  She is a county youth coordinator for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach combining her passion for youth development and community involvement.

Mekenzie graduated from Purdue University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in agribusiness. She served two terms as treasurer for the Beta Chapter. She was raised on a goat, sheep and show horse farm in southern Indiana. She loves being able to meet new people and help them to learn and to solve problems.

Alacyn graduated from Purdue University in May of 2017, with a bachelor of science degree in agricultural engineering. During her time at Purdue, she served the Beta Chapter as their president and treasurer. Her love for tractors and all things farm equipment has landed her in her current role at John Deere. Alacyn’s currently residing in Waterloo, IA but because she’s part of the company’s marketing representative program, she won’t be there for long! Soon enough, this Midwestern woman will be embracing her inner ‘southern girl’ as she moves to Florida temporarily and visits Texas and Arkansas for chapter visits.

Lisa graduated from University of Wisconsin – River Falls in May of 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture engineering technology. She served numerous roles during her collegiate career, including social chair, CPC representative, formal chair and Greek week chair at the Beta Delta Chapter. She now works for GEA Engineering in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. Lisa is also active in the University of Wisconsin – River Falls Alumnae Chapter. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling the world, ballet and studio dancing, and hiking.

Jennifer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture business. She served on the Beta Zeta Chapter board as secretary and vice president. She is working for CHS as a grain merchandiser and volunteers on the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus with students, many of which are Sigma Alpha sisters, prepare for internships and full-time job interviews.

Stephanie graduated from Tarleton State University in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations and event management. She served many roles for the Alpha Zeta Chapter, 2nd vice president being her favorite. She is a shift manager at a former Sigma Alpha sister’s boutique, has her own makeup business, loves to spend time with her husband and dog, go to the gym, and travel.

April graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with a bachelor of science degree in food and agribusiness marketing and management. She served the Alpha Kappa Chapter as second vice president and represented Sigma Alpha as both founding member and public relations chair for the Special Interest Greek Council. She is currently serving her second term as a consultant for Region 8. When she is not feeding her love for food and cooking, April works in supply chain and distribution for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals.

Skylar graduated from Penn State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and received her master’s degree in parks and recreation management from the University of Illinois in 2016. She was an active member of the Lambda Chapter, serving as chairperson on several committees and remains an active alumna. She served as an AGR/SA Leadership Seminar facilitator in 2017. She is a Mifflin County 4-H/youth development educator with Penn State Extension and serves as the Centre County PA Ms. United States Agriculture.
